SHIPPING POLICY
In the lower 48 states all orders ship for a flat rate of $7.95
Orders over $150.00 ship free in the U.S.
Orders going to Alaska or Hawaii ship for $29.95.
Canada orders ship for a flat rate of $29.95.
UK orders ship for $87.95.
Important 18+ Policy:
We require an Adult signature for all Sword orders. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a samurai sword from Samurai Blades.com.
Delivery Time
If we have your item in stock, it usually ships out same day to you. If not in stock most other orders ship out within 5 business days from when the order was placed. There are sometimes circumstances that may affect the inventory, however we try to get all orders out as soon as possible. If for some reason, there will be a delay on your order, or the item is on backorder, we will contact you via the e-mail (1st) or the phone (2nd) that you provide when placing your order.
Expedited Shipping:
We can expedite shipping on orders mostly via UPS (occasionally postal service). All orders are considered to be processed on the SAME business day providing they are placed PRIOR to 2pm EST due to UPS pickup restrictions. We do NOT ship on Saturdays, only Monday through Friday, therefore, if you place a Next Day order after 2pm EST on Friday, it will ship out on Monday for Tuesday delivery. To assure that we will be able to get your order to you in the time that you need, it is best to call us or e-mail us ahead of time, or when placing your order.
If you place a 2nd day delivery order Monday through Friday (pre 2pm EST) it will ship out that business day and arrive on the 2nd business day after that day. For example a 2nd day order placed on Monday prior to 2pm EST will ship out that day and arrive on Wednesday to you. The same logic holds true for all 3rd day orders. For backordered items we cannot ship via expedited methods. If an item is on backorder, we will contact you.
International Orders:
Due to import restrictions, SamuraiBlades.com currently only ships outside of the US to Canada and the UK only.
Important information for UK orders
Sword laws have recently changed in the UK and currently there are no problems with the import of straight swords to the UK.
If you are a martial artist with the paperwork to prove it to your UK customs office upon arrival to the customs office, (they will contact you or you can contact them), then we will ship to you! We can also ship to your dojo or martial arts school in the care of your Master, Sijo, Hanshi , Sifu, or anyone with a martial arts letterhead. It must be official. You will not need to furnish this to us, but to your local customs office.
However, all curved swords over 50 cm in length are now illegal, including decorative items. Exceptions are provided for members of martial arts schools holding the proper insurance, for religious usage, and for traditionally hand made swords. If you are ordering one of these curved swords, please include your exception information in the special instructions section. We'll include this information with the package to help with clearance through the UK customs. Please be absolutely sure you may legally import these items, before placing your order. We will not be able to refund confiscated shipments.
Customs Regulations/Import Taxes:
Please be aware that there may be customs fees or other fees charged by your country to pickup the merchandise that is delivered. Swordandaxe.com is not responsible in any way for any additional fees that your particular country may charge at pickup. As fees vary by country, we can not predict what they will be.
In accordance with customs regulations, all items will be declared for there actual value. Please do not request that we undervalue your shipments on the customs forms, or mark your shipment as a gift in an attempt to get out of paying any taxes that are legally due. Doing so is illegal.
You alone are responsible for making sure that the products shipped to your country and/or city are legal for import and agree to pay all duties and taxes that arise from the import of such goods. Samurai Blades.com will not be held responsible for customs seizures or become involved with any customs issues or disputes.
If you REFUSE delivery due to associated costs at your local customs department or for ANY OTHER REASON, Swordandaxe.com is NOT responsible for the fees associated with returning the sword to us. We are also NOT responsibile for the ABANDONMENT fees that will be charged by UPS. In this case YOU the customer are fully responsible for the original shipping charges PLUS the RETURN shipping fees back to us PLUS the ABANDONMENT fees. You will be credited back the total cost of your order MINUS the original shipping charges to you and then MINUS the return shipping charges by UPS to return the sword to us and MINUS the ABANDONMENT fees.
