Hanwei Swords

Back in the 90's sword collecting could be a frustrating experience; good quality swords were either to expensive or cheaper more affordable swords were of a poor quality. Today, things have greatly improved and this is largely due to Paul Chen, who decided to make his own swords for the very reasons just described.

Today, Paul Chen's company Hanwei Swords is the largest manufacturer of swords with their product line covering Japanese swords, European swords and much more. Despite Hanwei's size, each sword is still handmade at the Hanwei forge. A team of 35 supervisors oversees the entire process, from the initial creation of the blade shape to its tempering by the smithy.

Hanwei swords range in price from $100 up to $3200 for their high end models, all of which are covered by a one year factory warranty.
